Job Summary:
Industrial Engineers apply advanced problem-solving techniques and Lean Manufacturing principles to develop and optimize factories to maximize throughput, efficiency, and value. Industrial Engineers are involved in Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layout, Line Balancing, Simulation and Process Modeling, Labor Performance Analysis, Process Mapping, and Project Management.
What You Will Do:
Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.
Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion, manufacturing technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.
Partner with project managers and other functions to execute projects that modify the factory footprint, change the layout of factory equipment, and/or add new capability.
Support competitive bids, factory proposals, business case development for future investments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.
Participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar engineering discipline
This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)

Experience with simulation modeling and capacity analysis
Experience with factory layout and work cell design /optimization
Experience with project management

Location information: Andover, MA
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas.
This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the companys performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
