Okay, I have a confession to make – I originally only provided two out of the three cookie samples to the taste testers (both made with sweetener). The reason is because it was so-o-o-o-o obvious which of the cookies was made with sugar that the other two would have had no chance in terms of putting up a fight. I wanted to see if the taste testers would in fact, be able to tell that neither of the samples were made with real sugar.
I know it was a little evil, but I had to be thorough in my investigation.
Tricky Lisa!!! Well, the one with real sugar is sweet at the first bite! It's more "crunchy" as well (forgot to mention that the first 2 were crumbly)!
Yummish!
Nothing beats the taste of real sugar vs. sweetener. The sweetness isn't as muted when using real sugar and cookies come out a lot more firm and not as soft. Sugar is a clear winner when it comes to cookies (crisp ones) in my book.
